WAKAYA Taku

I am interested in the forms in nature, the forms of life. The shape of a plant's leaf, the shape of a tree in the sky, the shape of a mountain that has decayed and is returning to its essence, or the shape of a mountain that appears in the mist and disappears again. I feel that life can also appear as a story, a recurring thought that disappears and is born again. At the moment of painting, there is only a kind of deep attachment to the subject.

自然の中の形「命の形」に興味があります。植物の葉の形、樹々が空に描く形、朽ち果て本質へ帰ろうとする形、霧の中に現れてまた消えてゆく山の形。命はまた、消えたり生まれたり繰り返される想い、物語として現れる場合もあると感じています。それらを描く瞬間にあるのは、ただ対象への深い愛着のようなものです。
